Xuzhou Rothe Erde Slewing Bearing Co., Ltd. (XREB) is a joint venture company, established in May 2002, between Rothe Erde GmbH of German ThyssenKrupp Group (ThyssenKrupp) and Xuzhou Construction and Machinery Group (XCMG). The German Party holds 60% of the shares and the Chinese Party holds 40%. Up until 2009, substantial investments have been made. XREB is specialized in slewing bearing and industrial steel ball production and sales, and the products are widely used in various fields, such as construction machineries, wind-power generators, port cranes, offshore platforms, metallurgical and mining equipments, medical CT scanners and military industries. First-class design, exquisite craftsmanship and reliable quality management system make it possible that XREB’s bearing products are desired by our customers worldwide.
The JV company has developed rapidly since its establishment, since the start-up of the JV the number of employees has tripled and the turnover has increased nearly tenfold.
XREB introduced not only the latest design and manufacturing technology from Rothe Erde Germany, but also the corresponding quality assurance system, as well as other advanced management and control methods. While applying the ERP management system in the company, XREB absorbed useful experiences from sister companies worldwide and successfully introduced SAP modules into finance, procurement and sales, materials management and production areas. More and more employees have identified themselves with our cultural slogan of "There is no Best, only Better".
XREB has three manufacturing plants in Xuzhou: Wanzhai Slewing Bearing Plant, Wanzhai Steel Ball Plant and REX Jin Shanqiao Slewing Bearing Plant. Wanzhai steel ball plant produces steel balls not only for the company’s own slewing bearing usage, but also for Rothe Erde group plants worldwide. The main raw materials for slewing bearing production, i.e. forged rings, are mainly purchased from our sister company located in the same city (XREM), a company wholly owned by Rothe Erde GmbH.
Our objective: Through joint efforts of all our employees and with the help of our excellent brand image and technical advantage, we will consolidate our leading position on the Chinese domestic slewing bearing market, become the most competitive and trustworthy supplier in Asia, and further become leading world-class slewing bearing manufacturer in the near future.

Rothe Erde Group is the worldwide leading manufacturer of slewing bearings; it has 15 bearing production facilities in 9 countries, with sales revenue of slewing bearing products exceeding 1 billion EURO in 2008.
